About us

The Royal College of Midwives, Sands (the stillbirth and neonatal death charity) and Bliss (the special care baby charity) have set up an on-line network for bereavement midwives, and for any midwife or neonatal nurse who is involved in, or has an interest in, the care offered to parents whose baby dies.

Getting started

First, register with the Bereavement Care Network.

Second, visit the main Discussions page and click on a topic to read what other midwives are saying.

Finally, when you feel ready to contribute, click on the 'Reply' (envelope) icon and add your own post.

The network will offer members an opportunity to share good practice and procedures, exchange ideas and provide informal support. It will also be a way for the RCM, Sands and Bliss to keep network members informed about relevant information, developments and resources.

This network will not be used for any other purpose and is jointly hosted. If you would like to join, please register by clicking here.

The network will be constantly evolving as we endeavour to make it as user friendly and useful as possible. If you have any feedback about the site, please contact us here.

The Bereavement Care Network for Practitioners was set up with financial assistence from the NMSF.
